Due to the complexity of the work involved in upgrading the hospital’s Automatic Transfer Switches, normal power is now expected to be restored as early as 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
MAHC is advising the community of a planned temporary power interruption at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) from 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14 to 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. This work is required to complete upgrades to the hospital’s Automatic Transfer Switches, an important investment in maintaining reliable and resilient systems that support patient care.
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is pleased to share that the new donor-funded mammography unit at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) is now fully installed and up and running, marking an important milestone for breast imaging services for all residents in Muskoka and area.
