Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is encouraged about changes being explored following an engagement session Wednesday evening with the Credentialed Staff Association (CSA) that includes physicians and other care providers from both North and South Muskoka.
After considerable analysis and extensive consultation with stakeholder groups, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is in the process of examining changes to the proposed health system model in the lead-up to a Physician engagement session on Wednesday night. Potential adjustments include increasing the number of beds in Bracebridge and exploring the possibility of continued labour and delivery in Bracebridge.

Over the past several weeks, MAHC has received questions and inquiries about how the Pine Street location was chosen as the preferred location for the Bracebridge site. The purpose of this update is to provide clarity around the process and decision-making.
