Together with the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is excited to mark the official start of construction for Muskoka and area’s first Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine in Huntsville.

Last week, the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare Board passed a motion that may have been misunderstood. The decision does not mean that the organization is moving ahead with a final plan for the hospitals without further consultation. 

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is moving forward, by giving direction to its expert healthcare planning consultants to proceed with detailed planning for the redevelopment of its hospital sites in Bracebridge and Huntsville following unanimous approval by the board of directors on July 2, 2024.

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 17^th annual Board Award of Excellence following an awards ceremony on Monday, June 24 in Bracebridge.  

At the invitation of Bracebridge Mayor Rick Maloney, senior leadership from Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), municipal officials from Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Muskoka Lakes, the District Municipality of Muskoka, and a group of South Muskoka physicians met on Tuesday to discuss the capital redevelopment plan for the multi-site regional hospital in Muskoka.

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) recently held a series of 10 well-attended community engagement sessions in Huntsville (4) and Bracebridge (6).  These sessions were invaluable in gathering insights and perspectives that will shape the future of healthcare in the region.

MAHC is inviting the communities we serve to join us for a collaborative exchange of ideas to continue to shape the future of our local regional, multi-site hospital system.

The Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) of Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), consisting of department chiefs, clinical committee chairs, medical directors, and physician leads from both North and South Muskoka, has provided its strong endorsement through a consensus statement in support of the proposed health system plan designed to transform regional healthcare delivery.

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) continues to make strides in the redevelopment and expansion of healthcare in the Muskoka region.  These efforts are supported by ongoing discussions with physicians and extensive stakeholder feedback, focusing on enhancing healthcare delivery across our communities.

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is aware that the community has been encouraged to participate in a gathering this coming Saturday in support of a health care model proposed by some South Muskoka physicians earlier this year.  Some communications related to the gathering contain misinformation.
