Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is pleased to invite members of the community to attend a celebration of the outstanding work of MAHC staff and physicians at the corporation’s Annual General Meeting.
Throughout this election campaign, health care has been at the forefront, and it should be. A high-functioning public health care system should be important to each and every resident of Ontario. We count on the provincial government to fund and facilitate safe, high-quality care.
The Capital Plan Development Task Force met on May 14.
The task force further discussed a report on high-level operational cost forecasting for the three models for the year 2031/32. Members understood the report is intended to provide an order of magnitude of the potential operating costs of each model based on the programs and services to be delivered.

Model Evaluation Criteria: The task force confirmed that its evaluation of the models would include equally-weighted criteria in five areas: patient- and family-centered care, financial, alignment with health system directions, municipal impact and community support.
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare’s (MAHC) Capital Plan Development Task Force has reached an important point in its future planning work, coming to consensus on the details of the programs and services proposed in each of the models.
The Capital Plan Development Task Force met on March 19 and 26 where the task force arrived at two important milestones. The task force approved the evaluation criteria to be used to evaluate the models, and finalized the different programs and services proposed in each of the models as described below.

The 2018-19 Ontario budget proposes to include a $750,000 increase in funding for Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare in 2018-19, according to an announcement made on Friday by Barrie MPP Ann Hoggarth at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.
Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) has a proven track record of working collaboratively with stakeholders and has established a Capital Plan Development Task Force to lead MAHC’s future planning work. The task force is largely comprised of community members and has municipal representation which includes the Mayors of Huntsville and Bracebridge, the Reeve of Burk’s Falls and the CAO of the District of Muskoka.
