After considerable analysis and extensive consultation with stakeholder groups, Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is in the process of examining changes to the proposed health system model in the lead-up to a Physician engagement session on Wednesday night. Potential adjustments include increasing the number of beds in Bracebridge and exploring the possibility of continued labour and delivery in Bracebridge.
MAHC is proud to have a distinguished Board of Directors overseeing our strategic direction and decision-making. With decades of experience in leadership, governance and health care, this esteemed group of volunteers dedicate hours of their time each month to support high-quality, patient-focused care in Muskoka and region.
Over the past several weeks, MAHC has received questions and inquiries about how the Pine Street location was chosen as the preferred location for the Bracebridge site. The purpose of this update is to provide clarity around the process and decision-making.
