Masking is now optional in most public areas within MAHC

Masking is mandatory in all patient care areas and ambulatory waiting rooms, including the Emergency Department. Masking is mandatory upon entering inpatient rooms.
- Masking is optional in all public areas of the hospital and in all common spaces within inpatient clinical units including hallways, nursing stations, break rooms and meeting rooms.
What to expect when attending the hospital
When you come to either site, you are expected to:
- Self-screen at the entrance for symptoms and potential contact with COVID-19;
- Clean your hands often with sanitizer;
- Don a mask if entering a patient area
Visiting Information
Admitted inpatients may have two (2) visitors per day during visiting hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. who adhere to visiting requirements, including wearing a mask while in a patient's room.
COVID-19 Testing
The COVID Assessment Centre in Bracebridge has closed. Those requiring a PCR test may book one at a COVID-19 testing location.
COVID-19 Vaccination
Please visit the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit website for vaccine-related information. Eligible individuals appointments may book their vaccine appointments directly through the Ontario provincial booking site or by calling 1-833-943-3900. Several pharmacies are also administering vaccines and appointments can be booked through participating pharmacies.
