HDMH East & South Wings Under Enteric Outbreak

East and South Wings at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) Site are under an enteric outbreak. 

Visitation is limited to one essential caregiver, and general visitors are not allowed during the outbreak period.

Essential caregivers are to wear a surgical mask and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as identified by the Infection Prevention and Control team.

MyChart users are unable to access some clinical records.
We are actively pursuing resolution with our vendor and ask for your patience.

Should you need your records urgently, MyChart users can make requests for records through our Health Records Department.

General Visiting Suspended on East and South Wings at HDMH

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC), in consultation with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, has declared a gastro-related outbreak (enteric) on East and South Wings at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital (HDMH) Site.

Due to the outbreak, general visitors are not permitted, and visitation is limited to one essential caregiver only. Essential caregivers are to wear a surgical mask and other appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as identified by the care team.

Testing of patients and staff continues as part of outbreak management protocols, and enhanced cleaning practices are underway to limit spread.
