Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare’s Oncology, Supportive Care & Infusion Clinic is based at the Huntsville site.  The service is provided in a compassionate, pleasant environment by Registered Nurses who are experienced and certified as Oncology Nurses.  The clinic also provides care for infusion treatment and transfusion.  Learn more in our welcome brochure.

Referrals

Patients needing chemotherapy are initially referred by their physician to the North East Regional Cancer Centre in Sudbury or the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre in Barrie at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.  After your initial assessment with an Oncologist at one of either of these partner centres, you may arrange for Systemic Chemotherapy and/or ongoing Supportive Oncology Care closer to your home at MAHC.  Please ask your oncologist for details.  Supportive care consists of nursing assessment and follow-up, PICC insertion and discharge, PICC dressing changes, port flush, laboratory work, pump disconnect.
