Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare provides inpatient and outpatient surgery at both sites. Approximately 90% of patients receive outpatient surgery that does not generally require a hospital admission. Patients are admitted to day surgery in the morning, undergo surgery, are monitored during recovery and return home - all on the same day.

Endoscopy Services
MAHC has three endoscopy suites for minimally invasive diagnoses using an endoscope. Endoscopy services include gastroscopy, colonoscopy, FIT-positive colonoscopy, and endoscopic retrograde pancreatography (ERCP).
Surgeon's Clinic
A Surgeon's Clinic for minor procedures is available at both MAHC sites.
Referrals
Your family physician will refer you to a surgeon or gastroenterologist, and you will be notified by the provider's office of the details of your scheduled procedure.
Hours of Operation
Procedures are scheduled Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. We provide support for emergencies 24/7.
Visiting
Family support is an essential part of recovery. Surgical Services recommends and encourages at least one family member to be available, both before and after a procedure. Patient and family needs are considered throughout the stay. Safe, comfortable care is our priority.
