Rehabilitation Services

Outpatient rehabilitation services are only available to post-stroke patients and total joint (such as shoulder, hip or knee) replacements.

Rehabilitation Services is comprised of Activation Coordinators, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistants, and Speech-Language Pathologists.  These services are provided for both inpatients and outpatients at the Bracebridge and Huntsville sites.  Outpatient Physiotherapy is also available at the Almaguin Highlands Health Centre in Burk's Falls.

Rehabilitative care enables people to regain their functional independence and quality of life after an illness, surgery or other life altering experience.  Therapists work collaboratively to help patients relearn the skills they need to return home or to the community.
