Visitor Restrictions in effect at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site

Visitors are being restricted at the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital (SMMH) Site effective immediately due to the prevalence of influenza in the community.

The emergency department is seeing an increasing number of patients with influenza-like illness and patients admitted at the hospital site have tested positive for influenza.

The SMMH Site will remain closed to all visitors until further notice with the exception of very special circumstances. Please speak to the nurse in charge or the manager before visiting.

The hospital’s information system will be updated regularly. For up-to-date information, please visit www.mahc.ca or call 705-645-4404. Signage will be also posted at the hospital alerting family/visitors of the visiting restrictions.
