Patient care relies on technology today more than ever before.  MAHC is fortunate to be supported by a small, but mighty team of professionals who work diligently to manage information technology at the hospital and with our external partners in care across the province.

Introducing Monique CharltonMonique Charlton has always had an affinity for computer systems and software.  The hospital's Health Information System is the backbone for patient information and Information Technology staff manage the various platforms that contribute to the patient's record.  As a Business Analyst, Monique works to analyze business processes and helps to streamline the flow of information through the organization.
"I'm like the translator who works with the departments to understand what they do and what they need a computer system to do and then I help to implement the right system so the information flowing through meets each departments' needs."
Monique has spent 17 years working in health care and five years at MAHC, and enjoys writing and playing outside.



Introducing Steff GoltzStephanie Goltz feels very fortunate to be working at her local hospital as a Systems Analyst in the Information Technology Department.  Among her duties are managing hardware/software upgrades, file storage and back-up, and system failure and restoration, which includes providing advanced notification and downtime procedures.  Steff's work also involves preparing digital interfaces to provincial databases so that MAHC's data flows seamlessly, and creating electronic forms that auto print as part of the patient's admission package.  Raised in Bracebridge, Steff is a Muskoka tom boy at heart, keen to hop on a dirt bike or ATV, go for a fish or get out on the links with her golf club.




Introducing Roy FrenchRoy French loves playing with gadgets and techie toys.  Some experience working to solve computer dilemmas in a college library helped him to find his love for technology and led him to study personal computer maintenance and support.  In 2009, he joined the MAHC Information Technology team, providing personal computer support.  For Roy, researching and testing new hardware -- whether a laptop or a cell phone -- is like Christmas morning.
His are the first set of hands on every new device that is deployed and he is called upon daily for helpdesk support.  Multi-tasking is part of work every day.  Roy also has a sporty side and is part of a men's hockey and slo-pitch league.
